What do you think is the best method of measuring Body fat %? The water displacment is the best but i am talking about the other methods

calipers seem to be the most popular, im not sure about many other methods besides the water displacement but i hear it can be a bit expensive.

right now i am using the Armys tape standards but i dont think it's very good. how close do you think the weights scales that do BF% are.

I thought the weight scales were just for bodyweight not bodyfat also? .. but I believe anything that calculates your weight and height to determine bodyfat is a bad estimate for a bodybuilder i.e. BMI

I work for a housewares company that inports the bodyfat scaled from a reputable company. We have found that they do not work and they are a gimmikc. I mean you don'y honestly believe that they send a pulse into your body which calculates the water level of your body? Through our quality control we have found they do not work - don't use them. callipers are the best if you can work out the formula - anybody have the formula that they have to use to work out the body fat using callipers?

Man today at the gym i got a bodyfat test and they have a new method where they took my height and weight then put it into this scale and i stepped on it then it took a pulse and gave me a bodyfat level of 19.5% which i think is fuken bullshit.. I rekon im about 15%. My firend had the same test after me and has a visible 6 pack and lean as a greyhound his bodyfat came as 15% again I think is inaccurate he would def be about 10%. I think there are too many variables for these things to consider and work peoperly. EDIT - they also put my age into the scale but what the hell would my height and age have anything to do with my bodyfat levels? looks like it acts on a guidance something like BMI, pathetic
