hi, just started training and i was wondering when is the best time to have protein shakes. iv read alot about them on the internet, some say in the morning and before training others before and after training and theirs loads of other ways. just wondering when everyone else has shakes, how many they have and what sees the best results. (trying to bulk up) cheers, karl

on that note is it good to take it before your workout

you can very well have some protein before workout but also BCAA and carb is good to take to

i take em when i wake up..pre workout (along with a carb load) and post workout,,then before bed....

i take it as soon as i wake.then with my preworkout meal and posteworkout.sometimes before bed too. during my workout i pop a few bcaa's

I always have a shake when I wake in the morning... as posted in the thread the most important times is morning and post workout
