do sprints.....race ur friends belive it or not after do that for 2-3 times a week u'll get faster.....get ur stance down good.....get some cones and make a little optical course....jump rope....dot drill

yea my coach is helpin me on it he said keep your jaw loose run high and pump your arms fast

but i have one problem y i am slow i keep running flat footed i cant run on my toes

IMO every brand has something for endurance look into one of them but what is all of this for? If you want to build your calves you have to work your calves. I read once something about squats helping explosive movements in sports. In the same article it recommended High intensity training HIT, which you will never catch me doing. Obviously this is for a sport but which?

HIIT is basically a regime that introduces high intensity training in intrevals....builds muscle strength and endurance...i found it gave me more explosive power for my PLing training...

unfortunately, IMO it's mostly genetics. Keep good form will also help out.

in the 40, you should stay in your stance for the first 15 yds. 5 steps and you should be as low as your stance was. then you'll come up. as crazy as it sounds too, run like its a 50. most people slow on the last step.

i think he is trying to lower his 40 time in football. However jc, you bring up a good point. He should look into running track in highschool. I don't care if you loose every race, get into track and learn to run, i guarantee you'll lower your time.-Hook Em

im training for linebacker in football

who cares. if your true goal is to be a better football player, track will help. its gonna get you faster, and keep your endurance up. bump what cannibal said regarding squats. squats will no doubt make you a better player. Speed, and explosive power comes from what my coaches have called "the power pack" (quads, glutes, and hamstrings. especially in the position you play, you want to lift with explosive power. when you bench concentrate on bringing the bar down slowly but exploding it back up.

yea im gonna join track but its not for another 2 weeks but today i went to the track and ran

i ran one mile, took a 5min break drank some water
then i ran another mile but inbetween each lap i ran a lap then i stoped and did 20 pushups and 10 situps ( and also did them b4 i ran the 1st lap

so all in all i ran 2miles and did 100 pushups and 50situps...

o yea i also listened and ran like the coach told me to and i ran a 4.9 ( i ran with more power kept my jaw loose and pumped my arms as hard as i could so from a 5.9 to a 4.9 i was amazed how much good running form could do...

and the creatine helped me alot and it kicked in for me in 5min i didnt slow down at all my old mile best time was a 10:08 and today it was a 7:36

thanks, the thing is when i finished i felt i coulda kept running it was great i didnt want to stop but the pushups once i got down to the final thirty i had to fight it haha, i come to find out there is no MALE gyms here in my town which is gay, but i have a friend who has weights at his house and i can go to the school sometimes... i am just shocked cause NO-Xplode gave me tons of energy usually i run like half a lap then gotta stop for half a lap. but today i ran all 8 without stopping...

and now im more encouraged than ever, i told my grandmother, that i wanted to stay in high school at the pace i am ( cause i failed one class in 9th grade) so im considered a freshman. i told her i wanted to do it because my GPA is allready very low and if i stay i can pull it up deffinatly in my senior year, getting more than enough credits too, and ill have more time ( seeing how i just started on creatine) to improve myself and get colleges to notice me cause i know i wont get into college right now, so i need to have time to pull up my grades and GPA also and get a sports scholarship, then she fires at me and tells me i have no shot at getting to play college ball and it just gave me and extra boost to work harder and get better to prove her wrong and be able to show her i can do it

bro, you're 14 right? I wouldn't even worry about getting a scholarship yet, concentrate on building your strength and getting your 40 time down. Also, what do you mean no "male" gyms in your town? There's nothing wrong with co-ed gyms, at least it gives you something to look at, i'd be scared to be at an all male gym... You could always go to your head football coach and tell him what your goals are and see if he'll let you work out in the morning before school starts, that's what i did back in the day.You do have a gym at school, right?-Hook Em
