Good evening everyone. I have been lifting weights steadily for about 4 years now, and a few weeks ago i started taking creatine. It has made a large difference in my workouts, but as i am new to creatine, i am wondering if there is better out there than what i am using. I use Nitrotech for protein, but when i went back to GNC last time, the salesmen talked me into Amplify protein, and Evolve creatine blend. Both are by NDS. I had never heard of these but decided to try it. The creatine works good (i think) but because i have never used creatine previously i have nothing to compare it to. Anyway, here are my questions: 1.What type of creatine supplements (if any) do you all use? 2. Is it CR monohydrate alone, or a creatine blend? 3. This Evolve stuff has 10 grams per scoop, 20 scoops for $40.00. What brand do you think is the best bang for the buck ( without getting real cheap) Sorry for such a long post, i just want to make sure i get off on the right foot with this supplement.

Thanks for the link Tom. Are you guys shopping at a "super" walmart with a grocery section for your sups, or just regular walmart? Also, does anyone else have an opinion of these NDS Amplify and Evolve products, or know of their existance?

Thanks AF, That creatine is much cheaper, if it works just as well i'll probably start using that. I think evovle has a lot of filler in there, to make you buy more obviously. What about Creatine and Gluclose/Dextrose, apparently they aid in the absorbtion process?
posted by AMERFOOTBALL
yes. glucose and dextrose will help to spike insulin levels to force the creatine to the muscle faster. You can achieve the same thing by mixing it with a juice like grape juice.

me personally i have better results with creatine eylth easter prosphate not sure if i spelled it rite. as far as protein goes just go to walmart and get some cheap stuff in my eyes protein is protein but im about to try this muscle milk protein and see how it goes if it's not to pricey

not all protein is created equal. first off you want a protein thats at least 80% pure. how do I know if its pure you ask? take the serving size in grams (its usually listed) and amount of protein per serving in grams. here is the formula... Protein divided by serving size equals purity second there are different types of protein. whey is absorbed quickly and is ideal for Post Work Out. Casein and Soy are absorbed more slowly and are better suited for mornings and before bed. Bump tom though, soy makes you fart, and smelly as ever.

soy is stinky!

posted by Tdroptop
What is the greatest possible serving of protein you can buy ( as in most grams per scoop, not total quantity) I think mine is like 30 grams/ scoop? No-Xplode i beleive has more stimulant than im looking for, it is a good product for sure, but i work out usually 3 hours before bed due to schedule, and No-X keeps me awake.
