I have a gastroinstestinal disease called Crohn's disease. I have been working out for a few months now and I was wondering about some supplements I could maybe take. Does anyone know of really (easy on the stomach) products, or better yet does anyone have Crohn's and take anything? Any info would be great

Id watch out for creatine, if you dont drink enough water you can get cramps. That coupled with crohns probably wouldnt be too comfortable.

Creatine will definitly upset your gastro-intenstinal tract, and since Crohns is already associated w/ diareaha, i would take any chances. You should be okay with protein. I do not have Crohns, but i'll check with Dr. Dad and get back to you

yeah, gotta check with the doc. i have three friends with that and you dont want to irritate it. he just got his large intestines taken out and used to make a new colon. scar from the bottom of the sternum to the pelvic bone. anyway, i was recommended Elite-K 1500mg kre-alkalyn for creatine. it has no toxic conversion and no stomach discomfort. run that by the doc.

He tells me all my supplements are a waste of money anyway so his opinion is already biased! But: Protein is always safe, as long as you dont overdo it (like most things), Just stay away from creatine in general , it isnt for you. Stuff like Nox is real sugary and probably wont help you either. Lots of supplements have chemical dye in flavors like fruit punch and citrus, which also can upset a fragile stomach. You can gain just as well with protein and hard work. Keep at it for a while , it takes time Bleeke: Says he doesnt know (specailizes in pathology, not supps lol)
