I have the same problems sometimes. When that happens I switch things up to shock them. Maybe you need to try to do something they are not used to doing to shock them. Try doing supersets, 21's, or maybe use dumbbells and run the rack. Just something that they are not used to doing.

ah 21's are good. i try to let down all my reps really slow. makes em burn

bump tsm. soreness is not a good gauge for training. as long as you are making gains, you're fine. im hardly even sore on any body part. i think soreness is a sign of not enough protein...just my .02

yea im growing i was just wondering i thought soreness was something u experience when your growing muscle cause of the muscle tear (i get a great pump during my workout)

soreness is a result of lactic acid. As you progress with working out your body stops producing lactic acid when you tear your muscles.
posted by CUTS
i have lots of lactic acid then. that normal?

seems like my chest and tris are always sore the day after though

doing the same exercise over and over again will give you a tolerance, do a weird exercise for bis and im sure youll get sore. or better yet, do heavy tbar rows, and by heavy, i mean heavy as heavy as you can go, like 4 reps. That hits the BIs HARD.

and soreness isnt an indication youre growing either:)

No, growing is not directly related to soreness at all. I work out as hard as possible every time, and occasionaly get SLIGHT soreness in my lower back and legs from dead lifts. Other than that no soreness unless it's something i have never done before. I might go so far as to say that FREQUENT soreness on regular routines means you are doing something wrong if anything, but i have nothing to back that up at all

i dont think so. if your sore youre sore. i dont think its not doing something right

im always sore for a few days. sometimes it comes in the way of working out but at the same time its a mental gaurantee that you accomplished something.

i didnt lift work out for a month cuz i was in germany and the first day back i stretched the crap out of my pecs on flys and it wasnt a good burn. i thought i may have overstretched them and it lasted over a week.
