| hey all, I'm a collegiate athlete at Western Carolina University. I'm on the Track and Field team, I throw the Shot Put, Discus, Hammer, and Weight. I weigh about 290 and im 6'2". Im looking to lose some fat around the mid-section and gain a lot of muscle mass. I have a pretty strict workout routine which combines core lifts with explosion lifts as well. I played football in high school and I seem to have gotten smaller and a little weaker here. I believe it is because of the change in workout. Anyway, Id really like to put on some serious muscle mass and strength, along with losing some unwanted body fat. If anyone has any ideas of what I should be taking, please let me know. I have previously taken Nitrix and NO-Xplode, along with whey protein. I really want to get back to where I was and get really strong again, and I really want to get bigger overall. Any advice would be appreciated!!! Thanks |

| your best bet is ot post up what your doing now.... then we can probalby tweak it a bit to help you get where you want. my guess is you probalby have a workout routine given to ya form your coaches but not necessarily a proper meal plan post up what you normally eat and what your training is like. |

| well, I currently work out three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Each session lasts for about an hour to an hour and a half and consist of lifting and core work. Lifting consists of power/hang cleans, bench, parallel squat, db exercises focusing on chest and biceps/triceps, snatches, and rows my basic meals consist of what school has to offer, and I try and make the best out of that my coach was an all american at Clemson and graduated this year, he competed in the heptathalon, and he gave me a strict diet that consisted of chicken and other protein loaded foods that gave me about 5000 or so calories a day, and told me to follow as close to it as I could and it would lean me out, but nothing has happened as of yet. I eat a lot of salads at school when i can, and try to scrape things off meat if I can get a hold of some. I really try and maximize protein intake but I just dont get stronger with the food I eat and the routine I partake in, yet I dont think Im a hard gainer. As far as supplements go, I havnt taken any in the past couple weeks. I think I need to have a stack created for me so I can benefit from it based on my size. I really want to get bigger, thats my main goal, but strength is really important as well. And I would really like to lose some weight to, its killin my knees haha!! So, I hope that helps, and any help or advice that can be given about ANYTHING to help me achieve my goals would be much appreciated. Thanks again!!! |

| I also do some cardio work on some days during the week, but that is usually up to the coach, sometimes we do, sometimes we dont, but it is worth it when we do, its usually pretty intense, for me atleast being as big as I am. Anyone that can help me achieve my goals, let me know what u think!!!!! |

| it is very hard to loose weight and gain strength at the same time. if I were you I'd keep the calories at 5000 for another week write things down and make sure your hitting your 5000 consitently it is also fine to eat carbs just try and eat ones low on the gylcemic index. even for someone your size I think you will need to lower the cals to loose weight but ride it out for a bit and go form there. if it doesn't work after a week or 2 driop your cals for 500 until it does. |

| what about just toneing up and gaining more muscle mass and strength??? thats what is most important to me, the fat will go away eventually I hope, I really need to get bigger and stronger right now, so how would I go about doing that and what should I be taking, and what should I stack to give me good strength gains and more muscle mass??? |
