hey all,
need some advice. I have changed my mind about losing weight because I cant afford to lose what I have now. I previously wanted to lose some body fat and gain more lean muscle and strength. Now I just need to really pack on the muscle, especially in the lower and upper body, because Im a collegiate athlete and I need it badly more than losing the fat. I really need the best suggestions as to what to take, a stack if possible, so that I can maximize muscle recovery and muscle building and strength as fast as possible. I have conference coming up soon, and the stronger I am the better. Please help me out guys, Im 6'2" and weigh bout 290.

clean foods, lift hard, rest

those are the three best things for ya, weight gainers and stuff may help but you cant beat food, and rest.

well, I currently work out three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Each session lasts for about an hour to an hour and a half and consist of lifting and core work.

Lifting consists of power/hang cleans, bench, parallel squat, db exercises focusing on chest and biceps/triceps, snatches, and rows

my basic meals consist of what school has to offer, and I try and make the best out of that

my coach was an all american at Clemson and graduated this year, he competed in the heptathalon, and he gave me a strict diet that consisted of chicken and other protein loaded foods that gave me about 5000 or so calories a day, and told me to follow as close to it as I could and it would lean me out, but nothing has happened as of yet.

I eat a lot of salads at school when i can, and try to scrape things off meat if I can get a hold of some. I really try and maximize protein intake but I just dont get stronger with the food I eat and the routine I partake in, yet I dont think Im a hard gainer.

As far as supplements go, I havnt taken any in the past couple weeks. I think I need to have a stack created for me so I can benefit from it based on my size. I really want to get bigger, thats my main goal, but strength is really important as well. And I would really like to lose some weight to, its killin my knees haha!!

So, I hope that helps, and any help or advice that can be given about ANYTHING to help me achieve my goals would be much appreciated. Thanks again!!!

I also do cardio work during the week that kicks my ass, I just need to get much bigger and much stronger so I can compete better.

ONE OTHER MAJOR CONCERN IS THAT THE THINGS I TAKE HAVE TO ABIDE BY NCAA RULES!!!!!!! I cant be hit on a drug test, that will ruin my career. Help with a good stack that will get me bigger and is LEGAL would be great, help me out!!!!

trust me if you are getting that kind of workout in and 5000cals a day you will see gains, clean gains are harder than sloppy, but better in the long run. im not a big supp fan myself dont get me wrong Dex mentioned about the only things i will take anymore but you gotta remember its all gonna take time. nothing you can take will slap 50lbs of muscle on you in a day. keep eating, lifting hard, and resting.

also with creatine isnt there something about that in the NCAA rules? it seems like there is but i cant remember. double check on that

5000 'clean' calories for a 300lb dude probably isnt enuff food. I bulk at 5000 calories and i weigh almost 60lbs less than you. Either up the calories or dirty it up a little with pizza and dbl cheeseburgers.
