I have two protein powders, ones a spare incase i run out but i interchange them One is sixstar whey protein, which is a cheap brand i bought at walmart The other is a Jay Robb protein, which is more expensive The first one mixes and dissolves really easily the other is thick and chunky and take alot of mixing, which then got me thinking. Can you determine the quality of protein by how easily it mixes? Or is that just mean better processing and not better quality protein?

i had the rocky road and i loved it. chocolate is good too though. really up to you, theyre both good. just dont get orange vanilla swirl... i bought 15 lbs of it once because it was on clearance and i soon found out why it was on clearance. i ended up having to sell it because after going through about 5 lbs of it i couldnt handle it anymore.

So an easy mixing protein doesnt mean its lesser quality than one that is thicker and harder to mix?

Thats true. Optimum Nutrition is a great mixing protein. It mixes in water great. I also like it cause it has BCAAs in it.

Proteins are all different are you sure they are both whey? Some are more chalky and harder to mix than others, its more like what works best for u

Thank you

some brands dont mix as well as others. i think its just the way they have it crystallized. there are probably different compounds that they use to bond the protein with, some of which are better than others.
