i injected 2 cc's in my glute and it got really swollen. like the muscle is like a ball and it kinda itches. should i be worried? i have done it the same way i always do except this time i used a 23g instead of 25g. the bump doesnt really hurt though

I cant speak from experience but Id keep an eye on it for sure. I do know itching is usually a sign of allergic reaction. Got any benadryl handy just in case?

yea...but i did nothing different. same bottles too. could the needle be bad??

I dont know. I got allergy shots for years in my arm with no problems. All of a sudden one day a react and it lands me in the hospital. Your body can do strange things when you put foreign matter in it.

Not that I remember. It started with itching and then I broke out in hives all over. Then I started having trouble breathing. I had to go to the emergency room and get a shot of epinephrine. It was a systemic reaction. I wouldnt worry too much unless you start gettin hives. I would take some benadryl just for the hell of it if you have some around. You could have just irritated the site.

i dont think its an allergic reaction... that sounds kind of retarded... probley just alittle nerve damage and sum dirt or sumthing got in there and made it alittle infected (but shouldnt be enough to make a sist or anything)

def keep and eye on it. don't want it to turn into an abcess...be extra careful when doing injects. be sure to wipe area before and after with alcohol wipe or swab...

doesnt matter what gauge of needle you used but how long was it... with glutes you should go with 1 1/2 inch needles thats a possiblity..
