I don't know the entire deal and exactly what happened, but a good friend of mine had something go wrong with his heart last week. He was hospitalozed and his football season if not career is over. He's been juicing on and off for probably 10 years or more (he's 38). His latest cycle which was started 3 weeks ago is test cyp @ 500mg/week and eq @ 600mg/wk. also running d-bol for first 4 weeks and was going to finish it with winny for final 5 weeks of 14 week cycle. Does anyone here have any knowledge of complications that arise (specifically heart issues) with use and prolonged use of AAS? ive tried to research more on the web but there is very little out there directly tying steroids to heart complications. Id really appreciate some input especially from vets and long time users like cowcountry, storm, etc... Thanks bros!

your hearts a muscle, so basically they say it gets enlarged with steroid use. I just read another study saying that you heart returns to normal size a few months after. Either way there are articles arguing both ways whether it actually does enlarge the heart. What kind of problems did he have? Because some aas can mess with your cholestrol lypid profile pretty bad.

I'm going to guess that his cholesterol levels where probobly off the charts and caused him to seize up. AAS will def raise your cholesterol levels, yet another reason to do a lot of cardio while "on". Trust me folks, I feel for this guy but you have to learn from this. I was the most guilty of not doing cardio when I was younger and my gains showed it. Only when I started doing about 10 hours a week of cardio did I start putting on serious mass and feeling good in the process.

just got off the phone with him a minute ago. sounds like he is doing much better and apparently its more of a respitory thing than heart related. hes having more tests done thursday, but he said it felt like a horrible asthma attack.

I have never heard of a person actually getting heart desease or an attack directly resulting in steroid usage, and if there are any I wiould guess there are other contributing factors.
