for those that have done anavar and had bloodwork done, how did your hdl and ldl look before during and after your cycle? i have been looking into running an anavar only cycle, but lately have been reading a lot about its effects on lipid profiles. looks like it flushes your good cholesterol down the toliet pretty quickly. also, what supplements or foods can be taken, eaten or avoided to help this. thanks for your input!

rethink your anavar only cycle bro... im not gonig to tell you why because i know you will know my response.... for those that have high cholesterol steroids can make the problem worse.. i have never had a problem with cholesterol on or off cycle... best vitamin supp would be vitamin B5 (niacin)

Im curious why not. From what i know of anavar it has a very light effect on the HPTA. Low to moderate doses wont shut you down. It doesnt aromatize, its light on the liver as far as most orals are concerned, studies have shown it has fatburning properties, and unlike test, you have a better chance of keeping all your gains. Doesnt sound half bad to me. Just my :2cents:

I think what ab was trying to get at was to remind me that im not ready for AAS. the combination of my age and experience coupled with my bf (under 20% finally but still a ways to go...) makes a case that I should train natty for a while yet. What im looking for from the var is to build strength while maintaining lbm while i cut during my football season. losing the weight is hard enough during season (meaning i need to adjust on the field to beign lighter) without losing strength along with it....

Ok, i thought he was getting at running it with test. Good job on the BF. What are you weighing in at now?

Cholesterol is a sterol (a combination steroid and alcohol) and a lipid found in the cell membranes of all body tissues, and transported in the blood plasma of all animals. Desirable — Less than 200 mg/dL Borderline high risk — 200–239 mg/dL High risk — 240 mg/dL and over There is no evidence that too much animal fat and cholesterol in the diet promotes atherosclerosis or heart attacks. For instance, more than twenty studies have shown that people who have had a heart attack haven't eaten more fat of any kind than other people, and degree of atherosclerosis at autopsy is unrelated with the diet. THEREFORE, the main purpose for cholesterol related problems is thought to be GENETIC. To answer your qeustion Amerfootball, If you are genetically predisposed to higher LDL levels, taking any steroid may cause issues. get your levels checked during and at the end of your cycle to ensure you aren't headed towards a heart attack at 30.
