what is a steroid ester???

LOL...you should have a book done in a few weeks.

An ester is something that is bonded to a substance so that it takes longer for the body to break it down and use it. This is so that it can be controled to "time realease". Steroid esters use carbons. For every carbon a substance has, it is about 1.5 days half life. A half life is the amount of time it takes for half of the substance to be used. Things that will alter this slightly is metabolism, diet, and water intake.

For example, prop has 3 carbons. So, it's half life will be 4.5 days. To help keep levels consistant, it should be injected about EOD (every other day)

Remember that this forum is for "How to's on chemistry"
Not trying to be rude but let try to keep things in the proper forum please(these are probably better in the Anabolic forum). But you are asking very good questions by trying to educate yourself.Good luck.
:) Unless you are getting ready to make some gear and want to know the ester difference so you use the correct one in your conversions of course :)
