I looked through this forum, and did not find the answer. I am sure it is here somewhere I just didn't look hard enough, but anyway, When you guys (GP, Candle, etc) say that a homebrew holds @ a specific % or crashes, what do you mean. Laymans terms please, it has been about 10 years since Chem Class :)

P.S. not thinking about brewing my own gear, just curiosity

Thanks

hold means to stay in solutions so all it is oil, crash means to produce a precipitate to speak scientifically - meaning you'll have a sediment at the bottom of your bottle.

% of BA and BB vary you don't have to use the same everytime for the same powders every person tweaks it a little bit usually at least I do.

Oh and BTW there isn't much chemistry to it it's like baking a cake almost add the ingredients heat and you'll have it done in no time.

Thanks for the explinantion....and you should see me try and bake a cake....lol

lol....its basically relitively simple actually. If it holds, that means that the solution stays stable....if it crashes, that means that crystals start to form in the vial.

basically im repeating JC lol...

Don't mean to hijack your thread. But when you guys put the BA and BB with the powders. Do you guys wait a little to see if there is crystalization or any kind of build up in the bottom. If so, do you guys just add more BA to make it dissolve??

Its smart to see if it crystalizes.Ans yes just add a little more BA and a little heat to dissolve it.

I heat it with the ba and bb in it until it's all disolved then you add the oil and let it sit for a few days and see if it crashes if so you add some more bb and ba if you have to. Basically just make it and wait a few days make sure it is stable at least that's what I do. I had to super heat my tren I made last time accidently found that out though. :) I put it on the burner and then someone called I forgot about it and I came back and the needle hub was melted after about 15min but it was all disolved and has stayed that way, so no complaints.

I always only use half of the carrier oil volume at first along with the desired %'s, and test to see if it crystalizes...THEN when it dont crash, i add the rest of the oil in the beaker and heat up a lil for smoother filtering.
No need to do so with the simple test enth, deca and EQ though, as they are 100% soluable in carrier oil, as ive had 250mg/ml of each hold with no BA or BB. (just a FYI)
